Ronja, the Robber's Daughter is a children's book by the swedish author Astrid Lindgren, first published in 1981.Growing up in the forest Ronja quickly learns to handle unexpected creatures and challenging situations. Becoming strong and resourceful, she breaks free from her fathers expectations and becomes independent.
The story has been adapted for the screen, theatre and television. It has been translated into at least 39 languages.
